Award
PRESENTED BY Perth INSTITUTE OF CONTEMPORARY ARTS
“I want to know I have made an impact. That what I have done has had the ripple effect to make change and impact others. I want to have added value to the world and not just lived for myself.”
The Ripple Effect Award is a new honour that continues the legacy of Georgia Malone. Established by Georgia’s family and friends, it celebrates individuals whose passion and love for arts and culture leads them to contribute above and beyond.
We invite you to support The Ripple Effect Award to deepen its impact. Alongside Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts’ Industry Partnership, your contribution will ensure many more future recipients can be celebrated for the difference they make.
Tax deductible donations can be made via the Australian Cultural Fund using the link below.

In 2026, the Ripple Effect Award was presented to:
James Berlyn
James was chosen in recognition of his quiet, tireless contribution to arts and culture to make a lasting impact on the people around him – as a mentor, theatre maker, supporter of young artists achieving their potential, and most recently his studio WestBerlyn.
In his acceptance speech, James announced the prize money would fund a new artist residency opportunity at WestBerlyn.
